Dear Guilders, Well we are going through strange times – not least because the Churches and Wesley Guilds…

The Wesley Guild was initially established by the Methodist Church over 100 years ago. Its membership has embraced a wide age group drawn from various denominations.


Wesley Guild is a mid-week fellowship group.

Structured Programmes

Some guilds have a structured programme covering Spiritual and Devotional, Educational, Service and Social.

Informal Meetings

Some guilds offer an informal meeting but all seek to provide Spiritual and devotional meetings, fun and friendship, interesting talks and discussions, and the opportunity to support charitable projects

Executive Committee

The Executive Committee aims to support local guilds through regular meetings, mailings and various resources.

Nigeria Health Care Project

Many guilds are very active in supporting the work of the Nigeria Health Care Project


In June 2019 a party of 31 people enjoyed a 5 night break at Llandudno. You can see a full report in our autumn newsletter. Our 2020 holiday has been arranged to Sidholme, Sidmouth, Devon (a Christian Guild Hotel), from Sunday 28th June to Friday 3rd July. Coach from Draycott, Derbyshire, or travel by car, coach or train. 3 days of excursions. Hotel half board – no single supplement. Cost £425 including coach or £365 for private travel.
